Mineko Fuji (富士 峰子, Fuji Mineko^?) is a teacher of Aihara Academy who is feared by the students due to confiscating their items and giving them sermons whenever they break the school's regulations.

Appearance

Mineko is an an elderly woman with brown hair and hazel eyes. She has a marumage hairstyle with her hair, including that of the nape of her neck, fully tied into a round bun at the top of the head, giving it the appearance of a flat afro.^{[citation needed]}

In the anime, Mineko's hair has more of a mushroom shape.

Personality

Not much is known about Mineko's personality, but she is feared by the students due to her sermons.^{[citation needed]}

Etymology

• The name Mineko means "peak, ridge" (峰) (mine) and "child" (子) (ko).
• Mineko's surname Fuji means "wealth, abundance" (富) (fu) and "samurai, warrior, gentleman" (士) (shi/ji).

• The room where these sermons take place is known as "Mineko's Room".
  • "Mineko's Room" is a reference to "Tetsuko's Room", a popular Talk Show hosted by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. Mineko's name appears to be a reference to Tetsuko.
    • Mineko's name might also be a reference to Fujiko Mine from Lupin the Third.
• In the manga, Mineko is commonly drawn in a chibi-like style, while she is drawn in a more realistic style in the anime, possibly to better blend with the other characters.
